How something unsustainable becomes routine

The space functions. The surfaces are clean. The labels are clear. People choose with the ease of someone who doesn’t need to ask themselves anything.

Origin is a stage monologue structured in five sections that takes the audience through the exact process by which something morally unsustainable becomes routine. No speeches. No explicit horror. Just a character who enters a space that could be any contemporary consumer space and gradually understands, with a calm that should disturb him more than it does, what he is choosing.

The piece doesn’t accuse. It doesn’t console. It builds discomfort with the same precision the system it describes uses to build consent.
