
They gave the dog a whistle. To keep order.
One short blast to call them in. One long blast to pull them apart.
Before long, he knew when to use it—and on whom he did not need to.
He also learned when simply walking closer was enough.
By then, the dog himself had become the whistle.
Order held. No hands in sight. No one clearly responsible.
And no one could point to the dog, because the dog was only obeying.
Moral:
Those who place power in the signal
vanish from the harm
without surrendering control.
